Irvington to Hear Superintendent's Budget Tuesday

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Irvington Superintendent Robert Roelle will present the “proposed superintendent's budget” for the 2012-2013 school year during Tuesday's Board of Education meeting.

A copy of the proposed budget will be available on the school district's website on Monday at noon.

The proposed budget “represents the administration’s recommendations to address the school district’s program needs and balance those needs against the limitations imposed by the tax cap legislation,” the school district and Roelle noted in a press release Friday. It is not the final budget proposal.

The Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Campus Presentation Room at Irvington High School.

Residents unable to attend meetings can watch videos on the school district's website. Board meeting agendas and minutes will be available on the BoardDocs website. An email address has also been set up for residents to offer input or ask questions during the budget process: budget@irvingtonschools.org

The Board of Education will adopt a final budget on April 17 after several public discussions. Residents will vote on the 2012-2013 budget on May 15.
