Two English teachers from Martinique, Corinne Vally and Valerie Sidoine, accompanied their students to Irvington. Students stayed with host families in New Jersey. This was their first time visiting the U.S.

The school visit was the culmination of several months of communication between the two groups of students. Irvington welcomed the students with breakfast, lunch and icebreaker activities.
