Annual Jazz Festival Returns To Sleepy Hollow

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – The 12th annual Sleepy Hollow Jazz Festival will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26 in the Kusel Auditorium at Sleepy Hollow High School.

The concert will feature nine of the finest high school jazz bands in the area. The concert also will highlight three guest artists, including trumpet player Michael Mossman, sax player Jason Rigby and bassist Phil Palombi.

The guest artists will listen to performances by all nine bands and interact with the groups during the day in clinics. They will then select three bands to perform in the concert that night. In addition, all bands are eligible for awards, such as outstanding soloist, best brass section and best rhythm section.

The schools participating are Ardsley High School, Lakeland High School, Mahopac High School, Mamaroneck High School, Port Chester High School, Sleepy Hollow High School, Valhalla High School, White Plains High School and Woodlands Middle-High School.

General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. 

Sleepy Hollow High School is at 210 N. Broadway.
