Westchester's Astorino Says He Will Attend Obama's Tappan Zee Bridge Speech

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino said he would attend President Barack Obama's speech in Tarrytown on Wednesday, according to News 12 Westchester.

Astorino reportedly didn't receive his invitation to the event until Tuesday, which created rumors that the county executive was the victim of a political snub, News 12 Westchester said.

The Republican gubernatorial candidate downplayed those suggestions and even invited the president and Gov. Andrew Cuomo to tour the county and further discuss Westchester's affordable housing settlement, News 12 Westchester reported.
