TARRYTOWN, N.Y. Nobody was injured Friday when a massive tree fell on a house in Tarrytown.
Police said a Neperan Road resident called 911 after a large tree fell onto part of her house around 3:30 Friday afternoon.
Police notified the Tarrytown Building Department. Con Edison was also notified because the tree took down some live wires, police said.
The tree took up most of the house's front yard and driveway. Its root system blocked stairs to the front door.
Landscapers were beginning to cut down the tree to haul it away on Saturday morning while neighbors walked by to look at the damage.
