Tarrytown Police: Route 9 Crash Was DWI

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Tarrytown police say several people were taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center after a DWI crash.

Police have charged Mark R. Madden, 53, with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, after the car he was driving was in a crash near Warner Library about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11.

Madden was also taken to the hospital, where he allowed police to test his blood alcohol level.

The following incidents also were reported by Tarrytown police:

Marijuana Sale: Mahari T. Davis, 28, was charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a misdemeanor, on Friday, Aug. 10.

Criminal Trespass: A White Street resident called police after spotting a man moving a chair under the living room window in her fenced-in yard and then fleeing toward Franklin Street around 4 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10. Police charged Santiago Villegas, 41, with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, after the woman was able to identify him.

Synthetic Marijuana: A woman at the EF International Academy's sports building field was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center around 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, after she reportedly smoked “spice,” a synthetic marijuana, and was semiconscious.
