Suspected Tarrytown CVS Shoplifter Arrested In Ossining

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – A 55-year-old man has been charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, after Ossining police found him with property stolen from a Tarrytown CVS, police said.

Ossining police contacted Tarrytown police at about 8 p.m. March 26 when they found a man with stolen property in the Ossining CVS. Tarrytown police reviewed video to determine whether the man was the same who had taken items from the Tarrytown CVS on North Broadway.

Ossining police declined to press charges and turned the man over to Tarrytown police.

Police also reported the following items:

  • A man reported a tablet, black case, registration and $40 had been stolen from his unlocked car while he was delivering newspapers on Martling Avenue on March 26.
  • An intoxicated man was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital from the Tarrytown Train Station area on March 25 at about 11:30 p.m.
  • Police killed a sick raccoon on Green Street on March 25.
