"The majority of the Fire Departments in Westchester County are volunteers like us, and we are always looking for ways to raise money for our company," Lt. Pedro Ledesma said. "We will not be charging for the car washes, but rather accepting any donations from anyone who wishes to contribute while their cars are being washed,"

Ledesma said the event is meant to introduce the company and the firefighters to the community and he invited those in need of a good car wash to come by and visit, view the company's truck and donate to fire department.

The Columbia Hose Company, which is one of the five Sleepy Hollow Fire Department companies and led by Captain Angela Martello, will be washing cars in the parking lot right across from Sleepy Hollow Village at 28 Beekman Avenue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following Saturdays:

June 21, July 12 and 26, August 9 and 23 and September 20.

In the event of rain, the car wash will be held on Sundays following the scheduled Saturday

June 22, July 13 and 27, August 10 and 24 and September 21.
