Stuart Goldberg, who owns Head 2 Head Sports, was found guilty of professional misconduct in January and given a $2,500 fine in addition to the license suspension, officials said.

Goldberg pleaded guilty to child endangerment, a misdemeanor, in 2010 after officials said he inappropriately hugged and kissed a 12-year-old girl in his store. Irvington Village Justice Desmond Lyons sentenced Goldberg to a $750 fine and ordered him to stay away from the girl and a witness for five years.

The Regents' decision also includes a provision of probation for two years, should Goldberg's suspension be lifted. Goldberg is required to pay the $2,500 within six months of the decision.
