TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Several hundred people braved the threat of rain Saturday to honor two Tarrytown volunteers who lost their lives two years ago.

Members of the Consolidated Engine Company hosted the second annual Anthony Ruggiero and John Kelly Memorial Car Show, raising money for a Sleepy Hollow High School Scholarship. Ruggiero and Kelly died in a manhole accident behind the Consolidated Engine firehouse in September 2010.

Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow residents spent the afternoon examining classic cars and motorcycles. Several car owners had decorated their vehicles, some with mock drive-in food trays. Judges walked around with clip boards, looking at engines and other details.

Members of the Tarrytown Fire Department displayed their own vintage fire truck as well, in addition to providing food for the event.
