TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Tarrytown firefighters were called to clean up a gasoline spill on Division Street after a motorist struck a parked car and then drove away, police said.
Sleepy Hollow police reported on March 22 that a parked car had been hit causing a possible gasoline spill and the other car was nowhere to be found.
Tarrytown firefighters responded to clean the spill while the parked car was towed for safety concerns.
Tarrytown police found the second car on Main Street parked in a metered spot. The car's front end was heavily-damaged and its air bags had been deployed.
Police also reported the following items:
- A motorist struck a Con Edison utility pole and some shrubs on Neperan Road on March 24.
- A man reported on March 24 that he was almost hit by a car while walking in an intersection at Main Street and Washington Street around 11:30 a.m.
- A Tarrytown police officer reported he sustained lacerations to his hands and strained his right shoulder while making an arrest with the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force on March 22. The officer was treated at Greenburgh Police Headquarters and refused further medical attention.
- Tarrytown police charged 22-year-old woman with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, after stopping a car on South Broadway on March 21.
