TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Stephen C. Schmidt of Tarrytown died Sept. 21. He was 79.
Schmidt was born Aug. 15, 1934, in Dobbs Ferry, son of Harold and Gladys Roberts Schmidt. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. He had been a longtime employee of Robison Oil until his retirement. He was a member of the Washington Irving Boat Club and a member of the United Stated Coast Guard Auxiliary, being a member of Flotilla 65.
Schmidt is survived by his daughters, Lisa and Jennifer; siblings, Warren, Peter, Evelyn D’Eufemia, Laura and Robert Schmidt; friend, Patricia Hawkins. He was predeceased by his wife, Maureen (Fitzsimons); and brother, Harold.
Calling hours are Thursday, Sept. 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held Thursday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m.
