Pauline Beaudreault, 88, Of Irvington

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Pauline Beaudreault, a longtime Irvington resident, died Sept. 4. She was 88. 

She was the daughter of Paul and Julia Amand bra worked for the U.S. Department of War during World War II. Prior to that, she worked at Jon Harold Advertising in New York City. 

Beaudreault started working at Irvington Lumber in 1958. She later went to work for an insurance company owned by the same family that owned Irvington Lumber. In 1980, she bought the business and turned it into one of the leading insurance agencies in the area. The matriarch of her family, she enjoyed working, living and supporting the Irvington community, her family said. 

Beaudreault is survived by a son, Rick (Adriana) Beaudreault; a daughter, Elaine (George) Le Floch; six grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Ambra.

She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice; and a brother, Paul.

Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
