Warner Library Wants To Collect Patrons' Memories

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Warner Library will turn 83 years young this year, and library officials want to celebrate by talking to long-time patrons.

January marks Warner History Month at the library, which was established in 1929 by a gift from Worcester and Cornelia Warner. The Warner's hired architect Walter Dabney Blair to design and build the library.

Director Maureen Petry says the library is looking for stories or anecdotes about the library, “either your own or a family member or friend.” Petry asks that anyone who wants to share their memories to email them to director@warnerlibrary.org.

Patrons' experiences will be posted to the library's website, with special recognition given to card-holders from 1950 or before.
