Tarrytown Farmers Market, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tarrytown Farmers market in Patriot's Park every Saturday through Thanksgiving draws together farmers and artisan foods producers from around New York State, selling fresh fruit and produce, chicken, eggs, cheese, baked goods and more. The market also features live music, children's activities, represenatatives from a multitude of community groups. It's the place to shop, meet up with your neighbors and find out what's going on in the village.
Singer/Songwriter Honor Finnegan at the Tarrytown Farmers Market, 10 a.m. playing songs from her new CD, The Human Heart. Finnegan mixes alt-rock, Chicago blues and traditional folk ballads, and wraps it all up with compelling vocals.

Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow Idol, 10:30 a.m. on the 3rd Floor of Warner Library. Calling all kindergarten through 5th graders: Would you like to be a Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow Idol? Bring your instrument (we have a piano available) or your voice, and show us what youve got!
Good Dog /Buen Perro, 3 p.m. at Warner Library. Trained therapy dogs visit the Childrens Room to meet new children and listen to them read stories. Dogs provide a wonderful non-threatening audience for young readers to enhance their reading skills. Please call to sign up for a reading slot.
Writer's Boot Camp: How to Get a Literary Agent,9:30 a.m. to noon at the Hudson Valley Writers Center. Limited spots left, call for reservation. Fee is $125 ($25 extra for optional lunch). Participants will learn: what agents are looking for and what will distinguish you from so many other submissions; requirements for current fiction and memoir; requirements of nonfiction book proposals; the importance of platform and how to build one; how to research and meet agents, and the features of a query letter that will get your work requested.
Tarrytown Community Beautification Day, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Opportunity Center (105 Wildey Street). The Tarrytown Community Opportunity Center will be holding a Beautification Day as they hold their grand opening and work on the surrounding grounds and facility.

Annie Jr. at the Tarrytown Music Hall, 11 a.m. Students from the resident youth theater company Random Farms Kids' Theater honing their skills. Proceeds from "Premium" ticket sales benefit RFKT's scholarship fund. Tickets are $8 for Orchestra and $13 for Premium.
Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse Tours at Kingsland Point Park, 1 to 3 p.m. Last tour starts at 2:30 p.m. Admission is $3 for children and $5 for adults.
