Tarrytown, Westchester Prepare For Irene

Emergency Shelter

Tarrytown has designated the Main Street Firehouse as the primary emergency shelter, if needed.

Residents of both Tarrytown and Irvington can find emergency alerts on each village's website: TarrytownIrvington. Irvington also sends out emergency emails through its notification system. Residents can sign up here.

If you have an emergency, dial 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, call the Tarrytown Police Department at 914-631-0800.

Call Con Edison to inquire about power outages. Contact the SHPD for downed power lines or trees.

Water Alert

Tarrytown may issue a boil water alert if turbidity levels become too high in its water supply. Alerts will be posted on the village's website.

Closed Roads

Tarrytown announced that the commuter parking lots on the west side of the railroad tracks would be closed Saturday and Sunday.

The Bronx River Parkway will close at 6 p.m. From the split with the Sprain Brook Parkway to Kensico Dam.

Parks

All county parks are closed through the weekend. Parks will reopen Monday, unless safety is a concern.

Bee-Line Buses

Last routes on the Bee-Line Buses or ParaTransit service will be 6 p.m., except for ParaTransit medical trips. No service on Sunday. Services will resume on Monday if possible.

Metro-North Railroad

Closed.

Westchester County Airport

All commercial flights cancelled as of 6 p.m. Flights are expected to resume at 3 p.m. Monday.
