Tarrytown Welcomes New Fire Chiefs

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – The new chief of the Tarrytown Fire Department was welcomed into his position Friday night, to a standing ovation.

Eugene Gasparre was officially sworn in to his post by Tarrytown Mayor Drew Fixell, along with First Assistant Chief Domenic Morabito Jr. and Second Assistant Chief William Logan Jr.

“We will have a safe year and a fun year,” Gasparre said, adding that he wanted the department to “progressively move forward.”

Former Fire Chief John McGee welcomed the new officers to their positions while thanking the entire department and the village for their support during his tenure. He especially thanked the many families and friends gathered in the Village Courtroom to watch the ceremony.

“We couldn't do this job without you,” he said.
