Those waiting for the Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow fireworks show had to wait a while before the show began, watching other firework shows up and down the Hudson as a starting act.
The other fireworks, both in Rockland County and in Dobbs Ferry, impressed the audience sitting on the shoreline rocks at Pierson Park in Tarrytown, but after the Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow show was over, the audience had made up its mind: the Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow show was the best of the night.
One man, who could not be identified, summed up the crowds feelings when he yelled out, Nyack, you got served! to the audience, which howled with laughter and applause.
The show lasted approximately 20 minutes, and the video above shows most of the action.
