Tarrytown Police Say Woman Used Phony Prescription

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – A woman was charged with second-degree forgery and criminal possession of a controlled substance after picking up pills with phony prescription at Walgreens.

Michelle Adams was taken into custody along with another woman, Sara Alonso, after a Walgreens pharmacist said they were attempting to get oxycodone pills with a forged prescription around 4 p.m. on December 6.

Police arrested the two women outside the store. Adams was charged and a finger print check revealed two active warrants in Nassau County and Bronx County. Adams was arraigned, with bail set at $25,000 cash. Adams remains in the Westchester County Jail.

Alonso was found to have an active New York State parole warrant. She was detained until officials could pick her up the next morning.

The Pastry Chef reported that someone had taken four dozen pastries and rolls that had been delivered and left outside the store on December 4.

A student at the EF School called police on December 3 to report that three other students choked, punched and kicked him on his head and torso. The student wanted to speak with his parents before deciding if he wanted further police involvement.

A man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance on December 2 around 9:30 p.m. after police found four zip-lock bags of crack cocaine.

A person called police on December 2 around 1 p.m. to report that a woman was trying to send money through Western Union and it was most likely a scam. An officer spoke to the woman and advised her not to send money to people she does not know.

Police responded to a possible burglary on North Washington St. on December 2 around 9 a.m. to find someone had forced through a door. A case was filed.

Firefighters responded to a report that a leaf pile was smoldering in the rear lot of the DoubleTree hotel only to find the leaves were decomposing on December 1 around 10 p.m.

Police arrested a man after stopping his car on Windle Park and finding the man had a weapon and drugs on December 1 around 9 p.m. The man was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

A man was arrested and charged after police responded to a report of possible fraud at Wells Fargo Bank around noon on December 1.

Elite Collision reported a stolen vehicle on December 1 around 11 a.m. only to find a Tarrytown Honda employee had picked it up without notifying the shop.
