TARRYTOWN, N.Y. A woman was charged with second-degree forgery and criminal possession of a controlled substance after picking up pills with phony prescription at Walgreens.
Michelle Adams was taken into custody along with another woman, Sara Alonso, after a Walgreens pharmacist said they were attempting to get oxycodone pills with a forged prescription around 4 p.m. on December 6.
Police arrested the two women outside the store. Adams was charged and a finger print check revealed two active warrants in Nassau County and Bronx County. Adams was arraigned, with bail set at $25,000 cash. Adams remains in the Westchester County Jail.
Alonso was found to have an active New York State parole warrant. She was detained until officials could pick her up the next morning.

Firefighters responded to a report that a leaf pile was smoldering in the rear lot of the DoubleTree hotel only to find the leaves were decomposing on December 1 around 10 p.m.
Police arrested a man after stopping his car on Windle Park and finding the man had a weapon and drugs on December 1 around 9 p.m. The man was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
A man was arrested and charged after police responded to a report of possible fraud at Wells Fargo Bank around noon on December 1.
Elite Collision reported a stolen vehicle on December 1 around 11 a.m. only to find a Tarrytown Honda employee had picked it up without notifying the shop.
