Tarrytown Police Charge Solicitor With Stalking

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Tarrytown Police charged a man with third-degree stalking, a misdemeanor, after a Cottage Place woman reported that he knocked on her door as a solicitor, grabbed her arm and tried to kiss her.

 

Police discovered Germelus Sixto Amill, 22, was listed on the village's licensed solicitor log as a representative of “Just Energy” after the woman identified him when giving a statement around 4 p.m. on March 27.

 

Police later found Amill that same day on Hudson Street, and transported him to police headquarters for booking.

 

Amill was later arraigned and released on $500 bail.

Hudson Street Arrest: Tarrytown Police charged Freddy Alfredo Naula, 22, with criminal possession of stolen property in the third-degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth-degree, both felonies, around 8 p.m. on March 28. Naula was taken to the Westchester County Jail.

 

Office Dispute: A woman reported to police on March 27 that her boss' estranged wife repeatedly visits her South Broadway office and becomes verbally abusive toward her. The woman reported that she locked the door to her office around 2 p.m., the estranged wife continually banged on the door and caused some minor damage.

 

Identity Theft: A woman reported on March 27 that $511.42 had been removed from her bank account.

 

Identity Theft: A man reported on March 26 that he attempted to file his federal tax return when the IRS refused to recognize it, stating that he had already filed his return.

 

Missing Money: A Martling Avenue resident reported that $257 was missing from her checking account and that her checkbook was missing on March 26.
