TARRYTOWN, N.Y. Con Edison was reporting several areas in Tarrytown and Irvington were without power on Monday morning, a day after Tropical Storm Irene stormed through the area.
In Tarrytown, an estimated 1,142 were without power. Con Edison was estimating that most of the Tarrytown outages would be fixed by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday.
Irvington was seeing 77 without power Monday morning. Con Edison was estimating that most of the outages would be fixed by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday.
Power Outages in Tarrytown
About 817 customers were without power near Highland Ave. Con Edison was reporting that the outage was an area outage. About 115 customers were affected by a building power outage near Martling Ave. About 95 customers near Archer Place were without power because of a building outage.
Near Hamilton Place, Con Edison said 160 were without power because of a building outage. Power is expected to be restored there slightly sooner than the rest of Tarrytown at 11 p.m. on Thursday. Smaller outages were reported near Embree and High St., 2; Carrollwood Drive, 36; Church St., one; and Miller Ave., 11.
Power Outages in Irvington
Several customers were reporting that they had no lights in Irvington: 17 customers on Buckhout St., 11 on Cottenet St. and one on Willow St.
An area outage was reported near Oak St. affecting 31 customers. A power outage was also reported near the Ardsley Country Club, affected 16.
Downed wires affected one customer on Taxter Road in East Irvington.
