TARRYTOWN, N.Y. Schools and municipalities will close their offices on Friday in observance of Veteran's Day. The following is a list of closures for Tarrytown and Irvington, as well as information on Veteran's Day ceremonies.
Tarrytown
Tarrytown will host a Veteran's Day memorial service with Sleepy Hollow at 10:30 a.m. in Patriot's Park.
Tarrytown Village Hall will be closed, and the village will not be picking up trash on Friday.
Warner Library will also be closed on Friday.
The Public Schools of the Tarrytowns will not hold classes on Friday. Transfiguration School will close in honor of the day. Hackley School students also do not have class because Friday is a professional development day.
Irvington
Irvington will host its own Veteran's Day ceremony at 10:45 a.m. at the War Memorials on Main Street.
Irvington Village Hall will be closed and the village will not be picking up trash on Friday.
The Irvington Public Library will be open on Friday.
The Irvington Free Union School District will not hold classes on Friday.
