SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Sleepy Hollow Village Hall will be closed on August 19, which is records management day.
Village employees will still come to work, but theyll be going through old files to see what the village needs to toss, shred or keep.
Sleepy Hollow Ken Wray noted this was a way of managing the mountains of paperwork that the village accumulates. The village periodically cleans out records and is using records management day to get it done all at once.
Village Halls closing includes Village Court. Sleepy Hollow will be simultaneously renovating the courtroom using funds from a grant.
Village Hall will reopen on Monday August 22th at 8:30 a.m. This is the second and last records management day the village scheduled for August.
