Kevin Kay, co-president of the chamber came up with the idea to give residents looking for something to do after Thanksgiving with the concept of keeping people local on Small Business Saturday.

Throughout the day, local businesses in town were on hand with samples of their goods and a coupon book was available to encourage people to venture into town when they left the event.

The fire departments participated in a tug of war , kids took part in soccer clinics, Karate clinics, bouncy castles and more.
