Sleepy Hollow High School to Recycle Electronics

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Old and unused electronics will be collected at Sleepy Hollow High School this Saturday as part of a scholarship fundraising drive.

Principia NP is behind the electronics recycling drive. Proceeds from the electronics will be used to fund two of its scholarships for Sleepy Hollow High School students: the Green Science and Green Citizen scholarships.

Items will be collected from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school, which is located at 210 North Broadway in Sleepy Hollow.

The following items can be recycled: computer towers, computer monitors, scanners, laptops, AC adapters, cellular phones, plasma screens, game systems, digital cameras, printers, calculators, iPods, copiers, shredders, used printer toner, keyboards, keyboard accessories, stereos, speakers and other household electronics.

Refrigerators, car batteries, air conditioners, stoves, lawn mowers and washing machines will not be accepted at the drive.
