TARRYTOWN, N.Y. Bouffant hairstyles and youthful smiles filled the pages of Sleepy Hollow High School yearbooks during the 1960s, but it's a sure bet that the former students who gather in Tarrytown for an upcoming reunion won't look the same.
The Sleepy Hollow High School events committee recently announced a multi-class reunion for the first weekend in October. Registration for the event ends Sept. 10. No tickets will be sold at the reunion.
Sleepy Hollow High School students from the years 1960 to 1972 are invited to the reunion at the DoubleTree Hilton in Tarrytown.
Come and enjoy one another's company, whether meeting for the first time or becoming reacquainted, Melody Mordock wrote in her letter to alumni. Our common bond is our HS and Hometown, a bond which is often stronger than is formed with most folks we meet.
Reunion events include an informal gathering at the Set Back Inn in Tarrytown on Friday, Sept. 30 after 6 p.m.
A tour of the high school new wing and an afternoon football game will take place on Saturday, Oct. 1. The reunion party will take place at the DoubleTree from 5:30 to 11 p.m. And will include drinks, dinner, a group photo, entertainment and prizes.
A reunion breakfast will take place at 9 a.m. On Sunday, Oct. 2 at the DoubleTree. After breakfast, reunion participants will walk Lyndhurst.
