Sleepy Hollow FD Invites Residents to Open House

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – The Sleepy Hollow Fire Department will host an Open House on Sunday as part of Fire Prevention Week.

The Open House will include live demonstrations of the emergency services that the fire department provides, according to Fire Captain Christopher Scelza. Scelza said the demonstrations will include a vehicle extraction, bailout demonstration and a live fire.

Firefighters and fire trucks will open the Beekman Avenue Firehouse from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Beekman Ave. will be shut down throughout the day.

In addition to the Sleepy Hollow firefighters, the Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps and canine units will also be present at the Open House.

“We are encouraging the entire community to attend,” Scelza noted on the fire department's website.
