Sleepy Hollow Cops Issue Underage Drinking Summons

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – A group of 10 teenagers were recently issued summons for underage drinking at the United Auto Workers parking lot, Sleepy Hollow Police Chief Gregory Camp said.

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the Beekman Avenue lot around 10:30 p.m. on November 25, Camp said. When police arrived, they found a group of teenagers aged 15 to 20 drinking alcoholic beverages.

The teenagers were issued summons for consuming alcoholic beverages under the age of 21. Camp said the group was released and will appear in court on a later date.

Village employees reported that unknown persons had been writing in the freshly poured cement sidewalks in DeVries Park between November 23 and 28.

Police arrested and charged a 22-year-old Sleepy Hollow resident with unlawful possession of marijuana and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at Barnhardt Park around 10:45 a.m. on November 27.

A 19-year-old Elmsford woman was arrested and charged with making a false written statement and falsely reporting an incident for saying her vehicle had been stolen when it hadn't, police said. The woman's car had also been involved in an accident in Ossining, police said.

Sleepy Hollow police arrested and charged 33-year-old Vinicio Ramirez of Brooklyn for third-degree criminal mischief for breaking a storefront glass window at Beekman Laundromat around 10:30 p.m. on November 23.
