SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. Thanksgiving is less than a week away and several local places will be shutting down for the holiday. The following is a list of municipal and school closures for this week.
Sleepy Hollow will close Village Hall on Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving.
The Department of Public Works will pick up trash as usual on Monday and Tuesday. Recyclables will be picked up on Wednesday. No trash will be picked up on Thursday, but trash will be picked up village-wide Friday.
There are no public municipal or school meetings scheduled this week.
Students at the Union Free School District of the Tarrytowns will not have class on Wednesday for a staff development day and Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving recess.
Transfiguration School will release students at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday. No classes will be held on Thursday or Friday.
Hackley School is closed Wednesday through Friday. Students in grades five through eight will be released at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
