Seim Champion of Champions at Wrestling Tournament

LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Justin Seim came into the 38th annual Mamaroneck Tiger Wrestling Tournament on Saturday seeded second. By the conclusion of the tournament, there was no doubt his seed was much too low.

The Hackley School wrestler won the 132-pound title and was selected Champion of Champions by the coaches.

Seim scored a 16-1 technical fall over top-seeded Connor Mullins of Iona Prep in the final. He opened his day with a pin and then added a 10-4 decision in his semi-final match.

Teammate Xavier Carmona won the 220-pound title, recording three pins, including two in the first period. Rodrigo Mejias was the 195-pound runner-up. Mejias, the fourth seed, reached the final with a pin over top-seeded Isaac Cardenas of Port Chester in the semifinals.
