Search for Missing Irvington Woman Continues

IRVINGTON, N.Y. — The search for Betty Iannarelli continued Wednesday with family and friends coming together on a new Facebook group in an effort to find the missing Irvington woman.

The 84-year-old was reported missing last week. Iannarelli suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.

Photos, descriptions and news articles of Iannarelli have been posted on the “Missing Irvington Woman Betty Iannarelli” group. Around 4:45, the number of people who had joined the group stood at 68.

Iannarelli’s family also announced a candlelight vigil for Iannarelli on the Facebook page. The vigil will take place Thursday night at the Main Street School from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Police describe Iannarelli as 5 feet tall, around 140 pounds and black-haired. She was last seen wearing an aqua-blue housedress and sandals. She was last seen on a surveillance video walking up Main Street in Irvington at 1:55 a.m. on Friday.

A $5,000 reward has been offered to anyone who can help locate Iannarelli.
