Rainy Weekend Gives Way To Sunny Memorial Day

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – The weekend will start out with more rain and flooding, but the National Weather Service says the sun will be out by Memorial Day.

Thunderstorms will continue on Friday, slowly decreasing in strength in the afternoon and on Saturday. The National Weather Service forecasts a slight chance of rain on Sunday morning, but says Monday should be bright and clear.

 

  • Friday: Heavy rain and thunderstorms likely before noon, then showers in the afternoon. Temperature expected to reach 67 degrees.
  • Saturday: Rainy, with wind gusts up to 34 mph. Temperature expected to reach 59 degrees.
  • Sunday: A chance of showers before 8 a.m., then partly sunny skies. Temperature expected to reach 57 degrees.
  • Monday: Sunny skies, with a high temperature of 70 degrees.
