Residents of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow are in for a gray, wet week, but the much-needed rain should end by the weekend.
The National Weather service is predicting rain and cloudy skies through Thursday night. The rain comes after a few official fire warnings and several reported brush and mulch fires. Here is the day-by-day forecast:
Monday should be mostly cloudy, with a 20 percent chance of rain. Temperatures should reach a high near 57 and a low of 40.
The chance of rain increases to 30 percent Tuesday, with partly cloudy skies, a high of 57 and a low of 40.
Wednesday will start out partly sunny, but the chance of rain will increase to 30 percent by nightfall. Temperatures should reach a high of 61 and a low of 42.
There's a 50 percent chance of rain Thursday, with a high of 62. The chance of rain continues into Thursday night, with a low around 42.
Friday should be sunny, with a high near 59.
