The Route 9 Active Transportation Conceptual Design Plan will hold meetings on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Mercy College and on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Warner Library in Tarrytown.
The organization wants to provide a protected bike lane along Route 9 from the north end of Sleepy Hollow through the south end of Hastings-on-Hudson. They also want to improve sidewalks, crosswalks and intersections and make bus stops more accessible and attractive.
The project is a collaboration of residents and officials in the Villages of Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, Irvington, Dobbs Ferry and Hastings-on-Hudson and is being funded by the Community Benefits Program of the New New York Bridge.
