Irvington Plans Road Resurfacing Next Week

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Several roads in Irvington will be resurfaced next week, the Irvington Department of Public Works announced Wednesday.

“Although the roads will remain open and passable throughout the project, it is recommended to avoid these roads if at all possible for the duration of the project,” the department said.

Crews will be milling and repaving Heritage Hill, Sycamore Lane, Dogwood Lane, Ardsley Avenue West and Hudson Road West beginning Friday. Ardsley Avenue West only will be resurfaced from South Broadway to Clifton Place. Hudson Road West will be resurfaced from the access road near the tennis courts to the end of the parking lot.

Work will continue until Aug. 17 as the weather permits. The Public Works Department noted the project will be done in two phases: grinding down the old asphalt and then putting down the new asphalt.
