Irvington Firefighters Extinguish Small Attic Fire

IRVINGTON, N.Y. – Irvington firefighters extinguished a small attic fire Monday afternoon.

Firefighters arrived at a home on Westwood Circle around 3:30 p.m., where Chief James Ruffler noted they “encountered a small fire at the top of the stairs.”

Ruffler said the fire was put out “very quickly.” He said the Westchester County cause and origin team was investigating the fire's cause.

Ruffler noted very little damage occurred from the fire or firefighters' efforts.
