Need to navigate around Village Hall? The Daily Tarrytown is beginning a series called How Your Town Works to help explain what goes on at Tarrytown Village Hall and what you need to know. Our first look is at the top three meetings that take place at Village Hall: the Board of Trustees, the Planning Board and the Zoning Board.
Board of Trustees
The Tarrytown Board of Trustees usually meets at 8 p.m. in the Justice Court on the first floor of Village Hall on the first and third Mondays of each month. Work Sessions are held on the Wednesday before each board meeting at 7 p.m. on the second floor.
During the months of June, July and August, the Board of Trustees only meets on the third Monday at 8 p.m. Work sessions are held on the Wednesday before the meeting at 7 p.m.
You can also watch the regular meetings (not the work sessions) as they happen on Cablevision channel 78 and Verizon channel 28. Regular meetings are rebroadcast on those two channels during the week on Mondays at 8 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Agendas are posted at Village Hall and on Tarrytowns website usually the Friday before each meeting. You can also have the Village email you each agenda as it becomes available.
Residents have the chance to make public comments at the beginning of each meeting, with each persons first comment limited to five minutes. Any additional comments are limited to three minutes.
Planning Board
The Planning Board usually meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in Village Hall.
Agendas for the Planning Board are finalized on the Monday prior to each meeting, with applications scheduled on the agenda in the order they were submitted. Agendas are posted at Village Hall and on Tarrytowns website. You can also have the Village email you each agenda as it becomes available.
Zoning Board
The Zoning Board usually meets on the second Monday of each month at 8 p.m.
