SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – A joint Ossining, Briarcliff, Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow chamber of commerce event on Tuesday, June 4 has been planned to discuss the business of health care.
The Briarcliff Manor, Greater Ossining and Sleep Hollow-Tarrytown chambers of commerce will present speakers Keith Safian, president and CEO of Phelps Memorial Hospital, Peter Mercurio, president and CEO of Westchester Health Associates, and Jack Hershman, urologist at Phelps Memorial.
The speakers plan to tackle topics such as why large medical groups exist and how hospitals exist in a challenging environment, as well as how insurance reimbursement systems differ between large medical groups and private practitioners.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. but a networking event begins at 6 p.m.
