WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y./FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch beginning at noon for Westchester County and Fairfield County.
The flood watch is in effect from noon through Tuesday morning as widespread, moderate-to-heavy rainfall is expected to fall during the afternoon and evening hours, the National Weather Service said.
“With the area just having experienced heavy rainfall and flooding Friday into Saturday, rainfall of one and a half to two inches today and tonight could result in flooding of small streams and rivers along with urban and poor-drainage flooding.”
Residents are encouraged to monitor weather reports and be alert for possible flooding.
