The county will move forward with a $470,000 project for design and construction to include recreational ball fields and a trail way through Losee Park along the water, according to a press release.

“By moving forward with this project we will preserve local green space, protect natural habitats and promote historic preservation in the local community,” said Williams in a press release. "This park will be another great example that we have led to show shared service between a local municipality and the county. The park, which will be managed by the village, will be open to all county residents so that they may take advantage of the beautiful trailway and all else that it has to offer."

The Village of Tarrytown also received $200,000 from New York State for this project.
