Construction Projects Underway in Tarrytown

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Construction crews have begun work on two different sites in the village.

Work commenced at the new municipal parking lot on South Washington St., otherwise known as the Mason's Lot, on November 11. Crews will be grading and paving the area. Lights, a concrete wall and a parking pay station will be installed.

Village Administrator Michael Blau said the new municipal parking lot should be completed by the first of the new year.

The sidewalk replacement project for Tarrytown's H Bridge has also begun. Blau cautioned that the sidewalk replacement would be noisy.

“The project generates a lot of noise because what they're doing is they're jackhammering the old sidewalk out.” The H Bridge sidewalk project is estimated to be done in a month, Blau said.
