Sleepy Hollow's Paolantonio Remembered Friday

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. - Dorothy F. Paolantonio, a lifelong resident of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown, died Dec. 5 at the age of 76.

She was born in North Tarrytown on Oct. 28, 1935 to Frank T. and Pauline Shroba Galick. After graduating from Washington Irving High School, Mrs. Paolantonio worked at Phelps Memorial Hospital for many years. 

She was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors and a parishioner of Holy Cross Church.

She is survived by her husband James P. Paolantonio, her daughters Nancy Paolantonio-Belfer of Sleepy Hollow and Susan P. Paolantonio of Tarrytown, her sister Ellen Dupree of Hampton Bays, N.Y., her brother Frank Galick of Eugene, Ore., five granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her daughter Clare Paolantonio, her son Mark Paolantonio and her sister Carol Wilson.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown. The funeral mass begins at 10 .m. on Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
