TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Rose L. Chillemi, of Tarrytown, died Nov. 6 at the age of 93.
Born in North Tarrytown on Dec. 16, 1917, she was the daughter of Antonio and Rosie Carriglioni Chillemi. She worked for General Motors for 33 years before retiring in 1982 and was a member of Local 664 of the United Auto Workers.
Chillemi's greatest joys were cooking and caring for her family. She is survived by her sons Richard (Karen) Ferriera of Mt. Kisco and John (Joanne) Porcello of Las Vegas, Nev., eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as three nephews. Chillemi was predeceased by her son Frank Porcello and her sister Frances Buonanno.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
