TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - Former Tarrytown and Pleasantville resident Joan M. Quain died Dec. 2 at her home in Ft. Pierce, Fla. She was 76. A graveside service will be held in Mt. Pleasant, N.Y. on Tuesday.
She was born in Tarrytown on March 10, 1935 and graduated from Marymount College in Tarrytown in 1956. For 32 years, she was a District Data Systems Manager for AT&T in New York before retiring.
Quain, who moved to Ft. Pierce from Pleasantville eight years ago, was a member of the Tarrytown Boat Club, Con Ed Retirees of Westchester, Pelican Yacht Club and Pioneers of AT&T.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Francis X. Quain, her sisters Eileen Emery of Ft. Pierce and Mary Beth Stiglin of Fairfield Glade, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and funeral services were held last week in Fort Pierce and arranged by Aycock Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
