“We hope to create a community center built on core values that will engage and connect the entire community in a meaningful way,” said Frank Hassid, executive director of the non-sectarian Jewish Community Center.
The 6.6 campus will quadruple the organization's current space and add two indoor swimming pools, a gymnasium, an auditorium, a 6,000 sq. ft. fitness center and more.
The JCC will also announce the name of the new campus at the event. It is the first new JCC to be constructed in Westchester County in 40 years.
The free, open to the public festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. at 425 S. Broadway.
