Cookies and Milk with Santa: 6 to 9 p.m. Kids pose for photos with Santa, take Clydesdale horse carriage rides and enjoy milk and cookies. Sleepy Hollow Village Hall, 28 Beekman Ave., Sleepy Hollow.

Open Mike Night: 7:30 p.m. Poets, writers, musicians and others perform. Hudson Valley Writers' Center, 300 Riverside Drive, Sleepy Hollow.

Saturday, Dec. 22

“The Nutcracker” Performance: 2 p.m. The Danse Elite Performing Artists perform the Christmas classic in a benefit for the American Red Cross. Tarrytown Music Hall, 13 Music St., Tarrytown.
