Carlucci, who represents Westchester and Rockland counties, is partnering with the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, Attendees will receive their own Naloxone (Narcan) kit upon completion of the training.
The first training will be held on Wednesday Jan. 20 at the Ossining Public Library from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The second training will be held on Monday Jan. 25 in Room 3214 at Rockland Community College in Suffern from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Anyone interested in attending should register in advance by contacting Sen. Carlucci's office at (845) 623-3627.
The course will cover the use of Naloxone and how it can be administered to save a life after an opioid overdose.
A separate, similar training course will be offered for free on Jan. 20 at Mount Pleasant Public Library, as reported here earlier by Daily Voice.
