TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Westchester County’s full-service MetroCard Mobile Van is coming to town.
The van, provided by the county’s Department of Public Works and Transportation in conjunction with the MTA New York City Transit Authority, will be making rounds throughout the county to assist riders interested in purchasing MetroCards. MetroCards can be used on the county’s Bee-Line bus system, as well as New York City’s transit system.
The van provides transit riders with a "one-stop shop" for all MetroCard services. In addition, staff will be available to explain rates, discounts and answer any questions.
Regular MetroCards will be available for purchase and existing cards may be refilled. Riders also will be able to apply for reduced rates if they are 65 and older or have qualifying disabilities.
It will be in Tarrytown:
Aug. 20 and Sept. 17 from 1:30–3 p.m. at the corner of Wildey and Cortlandt streets (by McDonald's).
For more information on the MetroCard Mobile Van and other MetroCard locations, call the Bee-Line Hotline at (914) 813-7777.
