Irvington Presents 'Escape To The Rivertowns' Saturday

IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Quiet and scenic Irvington will be alive and bustling with activity Saturday when the Hudson River village presents its daylong "Escape To The Rivertowns: Discover Irvington and Grand Skylight Celebration."

The Irvington Town Hall Theater will host live jazz during Saturday's Irvington Presents "Escape To The Rivertowns."

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. with “Designers for the Millionaires of the Gilded Age,” an historical walking tour, and continues with exploration of the village's architecture, history, and river views with guided tours, exhibits, shopping, live music, and arts events for kids.

Grammy-nominated jazz guitarist Jay Azzolina will perform at Village Hall from noon to 3 p.m. and visiting musicians may sit in with the band and vocalists may bring sheet music and have the musicians accompany a performance.

The full day of activities will be capped by the 8 p.m. "Best of" Film Series Season Kick-off Screening of "20 Feet From Stardom" and Grand Skylight Unveiling at the Irvington Town Hall Theater. Eat a meal at any Irvington restaurant and receive free admission to the movie.
