Boxer From Long Island Fighting For His Life After Knockout
A boxer from Long Island is in the fight of his life after being knocked out in a match at Wintrust Arena in Chicago over the weekend. Freeport’s Patrick Day, 27, remained in a coma early on Sunday, Oct. 14, after he had to undergo emergency brain surgery after being knocked out by Charles Conwell in a fight the night earlier. Day was knocked down twice in the fourth and eighth rounds before taking a left hook early in the 10th round that knocked him out cold.
